Slice your red and green peppers. Don’t forget your onions. I used yellow onions; but if you want a little kick – use red onions.
About a pound of steak! Flank steak is the official steak for fajitas, however, I used thinly sliced sirloin that I pounded to my heart’s content. You have to tenderize your meat somehow! BONUS: It makes for a great stress reliever too.
The thing I love most about cooking is that one does not need to be so accurate with measurements, as opposed to baking. I eyeballed my spices, and I made sure to make it really simple. I can take a little heat so I was a bit generous with the cayenne pepper!
Combine all that Mexican spice goodness, and marinate it for a few hours.
Sauté your fresh veggies and set aside. Then sauté your steak quickly! Remember, we don’t want tough meat. Do you like hard meat? Me neither.
