Preparing Your Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
This recipe can be adapted for stovetop or slow cooker methods. Both deliver a delicious result!
Preparing the Broth
A flavorful broth is the foundation of great chicken noodle soup. Use high-quality chicken broth or stock, and enhance it with herbs and spices. For slow cooker versions, combine all ingredients and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Cooking the Chicken
Cook your chicken until tender. For slow cooker methods, add the chicken to the broth and cook until easily shredded.
Adding Vegetables and Noodles
Add your diced vegetables and noodles. Classic combinations include carrots, celery, and onions. Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or corn. For slow cooker methods, add vegetables and noodles during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
